I have updated the page to reflect recent discussions in Bassendean. I was considering suggesting an area-wide speed reduction for Bassendean, but discussion with the Office of Road Safety revealed that the Austroads funding is not available any more. To get a trial, Bassendean would have to request it.

At the Collier Road intersection there is now provision for crossing the rail line and also Guildford Road, but the lights are not yet operational. This crossing connects to the PSP North of the railway.

The lights at the Eastern access lights are still there - I use them every week. Thanks....

A number of years ago, when Main Roads were asking for suggested locations for Bicycle Crossing Lights, I suggested one across Guildford Road at the eastern accesses ramps to the Tonkin Hwy. The Shared Path from River road joins the Guildford Road at this point.
I won the lottery and got my lights and I assume they are still there.
A similar set of lights at Collier Road across the Guildford Road would give cyclists safe crossing points at both ends of the new PSP with minimal extra infrastructure.
