There’s no stopping cyclists at Belmont Park race course now.
Traffic lights at entrance to the course now are set to favour cyclists and pedestrians.
The path is back to normal after big roadworks to allow for the stadium project.
Previously, the lights controlling the slip road entrance to the course for vehicles coming from the city were set to let vehicles enter without stopping.
The number of motor vehicles travelling from the city using the entrance in normal week-day peak hour traffic could be as low as three per hour unless there was an event at the course, the number of cyclists in the same normal, peak-hour period averaged about three per minute.
