Fourteen Australian frame makers have got together for the first time in the Australian Custom Bicycle Show in Melbourne in December.
Event director Andy White, from FYXO, said the public had a chance to meet all the custom builders under one roof, to revel in a wheeled world where quality always came before quantity, where a bicycle was tailor made to its owner’s requirements and desires.
Brands included: Baum Cycles, Busyman Bicycles, Cog Bicycles, Cycle Design, Fikas Bikes, Gellie Custom, Gravity Bikes HQ, Kenevans, KUMO Cycles, Llewellyn, PATEBURY, Peter Bundy Cycles, Primate Frames and Teschner, Mr White said.
The show was on over the weekend of December 1-2.
Darren Baum and Darrell McCulloch would host a “Meet the Maker” evening event on November 30.
Mr White said frames of steel, titanium and carbon, designed for road riding, mountain biking and cycle touring would be on display from a range of experienced and emerging brands using modern and traditional construction approaches. Frame painters and accessories makers also would display their work.
FYXO deals in classic and custom bicycles.
