The cycling economy in France

The bicycle economy in France – Roche – 2010

Many interesting slides:

Graph on accidents showing the inverse correlation of cycling distance per inhabitant vs serious accidents.

Graph on the availability of cycling infrastructure vs modal share of cycling.

The bicycle rental market in France – many different systems and operators.

Note the last three slides, which contain a summary of the presentation, as well suggestions for practical steps. To increase cycling participation, the author seems to see the best course of action to get the Departments of Health and Education involved, as well as providing cycling infrastructure.
