Subiaco puts on a swish breakfast

The City of Subiaco shouted 242 cyclists to a swish meal for its Ride To Work Breakfast for Bike Week this year.

Riders had a choice of three meals – bacon and egg baguette, fruit salad or muesli with fruit – plus orange juice and tea or coffee at the Dome Cafe in Rokeby Road from 7am to 9am last Friday, before Bike Week kicked off officially.

The number was a slight rise on the 2010 breakfast total of 230 and a big rise on the 124 riders in 2009, City of Subiaco Integrated Transport Officer Cathy Gossel said.

The council began hosting the event in 2008, when 233 riders turned up.
