Sharing public space is an important democratic principle. We expect car drivers to be tolerant of people who ride bicycles on the road. In Perth, we do not have dedicated Cycle Paths, all our paths are “Principal Shared Paths” (PSP) or “Shared Paths”. PSP’s are three metres wide with a 0.5 metre shoulder on each side, SP’s are two metres wide.
