Cyling woes in Brisbane

Another rant against cyclists in the Brisbane courier was brought to my attention by a follower of this blog. Whilst the story is the predictable fare that does not go much beyond what we see in letters or electronic responses in the WA papers, I found it interesting that even the bicycle haters feel more money spent on cycling infrastructure would solve the problem, whilst unfortunately cycle licensing as a means of holding cyclist responsible was the suggested solution.

More interesting and entertaining is the video that seems part of the same story. The situation it describes has clear parallels to Perth, in particular the comments about the lack of access for bicycles to the CBD.
