I mainly used Wuala as a backup solution, they give one GB free space.
I normally just click the “Start Wuala” button and download all the photos at once, that takes about perhaps half a minute. Then I select and open the lot with a viewing tool. There is probably a better way…… – some people have complained about the slowness of the downloading of these pictures.
Hmm. Maybe it’s a bit complicated. I’d never download anything all at once without knowing what I’m getting. You don’t have a simple Flickr account or something to link to? http://www.flickr.com ? We do need an on-site gallery where we can upload pics into categories or something.

Subject: slow??
Dear Wuala Team,
I am using your services sporadically, mainly for backup.
The other day I used it to post some photos, which I made later available on a cycling forum.
The user Vivifyer (see below) felt it was really slow, and the way I use your site I agree.
What are we doing wrong? are we linking the wrong way, or is it the way we are using your services?
Regards,
Dear Heinrich Benz,
we apologize for the trouble within the last days. The way you are using Wuala is absolutely correct. We are currently upgrading our servers. Unfortunately, the use of our webservices has grown much faster as expected, so our servers sometimes reaches there processing limit and the service will slow down.
The service will be soon fast again at all times.
Of course, there could be still partially timing problems for single users when using a secured line. When using a secret link, all the webtraffic is encoded and must be decoded on the local computer of the user. Sometimes, this decoding process slows down due to problems of the used Webserver or when the internet connection has some trouble and a lot of datas hast to be resend several times before they are correctly recieved from the user. But these are rare problem of just a few users.
If your photos can be posted to public, you could use a usual Weblink without encryption to share them. This will reduce the process time for our server and for the computer of the user who is downloading them and will speed up the connection.
